Lab Partners - The Tylers & Cally on The Great Loop 2017

Lab Partners is a Rosborough RF-246, a Trailerable Trawler with 3 aboard; Cally (our yellow Lab) and the crew, Rip & Beth Tyler. The first Lab Partners was a Monk 36 Trawler when we set on a yearlong cruise to do the Great Loop, starting in April of 2017. 5,000 Miles into our Great Loop we sold the Monk 36; drove home, bought the Rosborough and are now (Jan 2019) back in Florida finishing our Great Loop. The Great Loop is the circumnavigation of the eastern half of the United States by boat!

Amendroz Island

Day 115 … Sunday, Aug 13, 2017 …16.7 miles; 2 hours

Little Current to Amendroz Island, North Channel

The plan was to go to Croaker Island or the Benjamin Islands where fellow Loopers were already. The winds picked up more than predicted and from a direction making the Benjamin Islands a tougher place to anchor. We spotted an Active Captain short of anchorage with good protection from the wind.

Not as dramatic a scene as prior anchorages, but pretty and only 3 boats (Lab Partners, buddy boat Firestorm & a third little tug from Canada). Bonus, there was a beach to swim Cally.
